RGB Guessing Game - this simple game was built to demonstrate an understanding of Javascript DOM manipulation, event listeners, and for loops. It allowed me to practice problem-solving through design of colours and placement, working through code issues, and exercising logical thinking.

Score Keeper - here I've practised using flexbox, altering the design of the input element buttons by using Javascript to simulate it's functionality, and learnt more about different browser and device capabilites.

2014 - 2011

University of Bristol

I gained a BSc Sociology with a qualification of upper second class (2:1). I focused on studying topics dealing with:

  • Migration
  • Race & Ethnicity
  • Religion
  • Gender

In my dissertation I studied the aspect of fear in the refugee journey from Myanmar to Malaysia by conducting semi-structured interviews with 9 refugees and a UNHCR representative. This allowed me to aquire the skills for conducting research on a sensitive topic and I feel great gratification for the refugees allowing me into very private moments in their life.
